Abu Dhabi Space Debate discusses challenges facing space sector

Sharjah24: Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the Abu Dhabi Space Debate, organised by the UAE Government Media Office, was launched at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), discussing the challenges and future of the space sector.

Isaac Herzog, President of Israel; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended the event.

Salem Butti Salem Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, stated that the Debate addresses several axes that focus on the space sector's challenges and comes up with useful recommendations.

He confirmed in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", that one of the topics addressed during the Debate was how to process space waste, an urgent matter to avoid causing damage to spacecraft and satellites.
