During the meeting
Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired, on Tuesday, the meeting of the SEC, held in the Sharjah Ruler’s Office.
The meeting discussed topics on its agenda related to public policies in the Emirate, developing workflow in government entities, and following up on the implementation of various development projects.



In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at providing family stability through housing support to the citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah, the SEC approved the third batch of housing support beneficiaries for 2022, with an amount of 172 million and 400 thousand dirhams.



The third batch includes 249 beneficiaries who meet the conditions, distributed in the two categories of loans and grants in all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, and the housing support purposes varied on new construction, addition, completion, maintenance, and obtaining a government housing and a mini housing unit.



The value of housing support since 2012 until now has reached more than 8 billion and 400 million dirhams, of which 10,353 beneficiaries have benefited.



As part of the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah and to enhance its regional and international position as the first child-friendly city in the region, the SEC issued the Sharjah Guidelines for Child Friendly Public Spaces, which aims to develop a flexible framework based on the infrastructure of the Emirate of Sharjah, encourage innovation and creativity in the future, and support partnerships in the design and implementation of public places that cater to children of different ages and cultures.
