Sharjah 24: The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, announced, on Sunday, the opening of the Qatar 2022 World Cup from Al Bayt Stadium, north of the capital Doha.
After an opening ceremony that witnessed the presence of the famous American actor Morgan Freeman, the Emir of Qatar stated that starting from this evening and for 28 days, the whole world will witness the World Cup in this open space.
