Sharjah24 – Reuters: French fashion house Louis Vuitton showed a collection of playful and futuristic styles drawn up by Nicolas Ghesquiere, artistic director for its women’s collections, in a courtyard of the Louvre Museum on Tuesday (October 4).
The runway show, which took place on the final day of Paris Fashion Week, was attended by celebrities including U.S. actor Jaden Smith, U.S. singer Janet Jackson and Princess Charlene of Monaco, who was seated next to LVMH chairman and chief executive officer Bernard Arnault.
Toying with volumes and pleats, the designer constructed new silhouettes and added huge zippers and belt patterns to jackets and shirts, nodding to the label’s roots as a luggage maker.
