Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Prime Minister Gonsalves discussed paths of joint cooperation between the UAE and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and ways to enhance them in various fields.
They also reviewed issues on the agenda of the 77th session of the General Assembly, including climate change and global efforts to combat it and stressed the importance of deploying renewable energy solutions.
Abdullah bin Zayed affirmed the distinguished relations between the UAE and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the keenness to strengthen them at various levels to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
For his part, Gonsalves highlighted the depth of the joint cooperation relations between the two countries, praising the leading position occupied by the UAE at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; and Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy.
