Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, was briefed about the humanitarian initiatives of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), as well as its current and future projects aimed at supporting underprivileged people and enabling them to cope with the fallout of the current economic instability.
This came during a meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council, between the Ajman Ruler and an ERC delegation led by Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, ERC Secretary-General.
Sheikh Humaid lauded the support that President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, provide for the ERC’s programmes, highlighting the UAE's distinctive model in supporting charity and humanitarian work.
He also underscored the ERC’s regional and global initiatives, and commended the role of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC, in following up on the ERC's work, and supporting its offices in the UAE.
For his part, Al Junaibi lauded Sheikh Humaid’s support for the ERC’s delegation and various initiatives.
The meeting was also attended by a number of senior UAE and ERC officials.
