Sharjah 24: The training of the basketball and handball teams, on Tuesday, started at Sharjah Sports Club, in preparation for the 2022-2023 season competitions, which are scheduled to start early according to the new season’s calendar, with the kickoff coming September 15th for basketball, and the 16th of the same month for handball.
The club has the largest base of high-quality players in handball and basketball in the country, and is considered the main club for players in the national teams, where the players enjoy continuous support from the management of the club, by providing them with all the requirements for success.
This is reflected in the levels and results of the sports teams, with the handball and basketball years achieving unprecedented achievements and records, when handball won all possible titles 11 titles from 11 played last season.
The basketball teams also won 11 final matches out of 12, during the 2021-2022 sports season. In addition team games in Sharjah Club won for the 19th time out of 21 times in the history of the game of handball, as well as for the 6th time in the club's basketball history.
