Kuwaiti Emir’s son named Prime Minister

Sharjah 24 – KUNA: The Diwan of the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has stated that an Emiri order was issued Sunday naming the Retired General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah a new Prime Minister for Kuwait.

Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad was also asked to immediately implement the order and form the new government, according to the Emiri Diwan statement.

It noted that that the order to appoint Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad was issued by the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah based on the the Emir decree on November 25, 2021 mandating the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad to perform some of the Emir constitutional powers.
