UAE President’s visit to France receives wide int'l media coverage

Sharjah 24 – WAM: The visit of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to France received significant international media attention, highlighting the deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two countries.
International media outlets affirmed the importance of the agreements and Memorandums of Understanding signed during the visit, which will help enhance the UAE-France strategic partnership.

The French newspaper, Le Monde, said the relations between the two countries have reached unprecedented development during the era of Emmanuel Macron, President of France. The UAE has become the cornerstone of French policy in the Arab and Islamic worlds, it noted.

In its report, the newspaper also lauded the UAE’s stability and rapidly growing economy. It highlighted the historical ties between the two countries and the admiration of former French President Jacques Chirac for the personality and regional and international influence of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The Washington Post highlighted the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement in the area of energy between the UAE and France. It added that Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of Finance and Economy, said the agreement is strategically important to addressing energy security challenges.

The American newspaper also affirmed the importance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to France, which included discussions on several Arab and regional issues, as well as the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement signed by the two countries.

The Telegraph said the UAE and France share deep-rooted ties supported by their leaderships.

Monte Carlo Radio noted the significant growth in the bilateral relations between the two countries, quoting the statement of Hend Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to France, who said the UAE’s friendship with France is based on decades of close partnerships.

CNN said the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries on energy is based on their close and deep-rooted bilateral ties. Bloomberg noted that the UAE has become one of the most diverse economies in the Middle East and one of the first countries to commit to cutting emissions by 2050.

FOX40 also underscored the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries.
