Sharjah 24 – WAM: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne in Paris.
The meeting – which came on the second day of the UAE President’s state visit to France – took place at the Hôtel Matignon, the Prime Minister’s official residence.
His Highness and Prime Minister Borne discussed the longstanding relations between France and the UAE and explored opportunities to further strengthen these ties while addressing some of the most pressing issues facing the world today.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed noted the UAE’s interest in collaborating across a broad range of topics, including the economy, bilateral investment, the environment, climate change, food security and sustainable technology.
His Highness and the French Prime Minister also discussed their alignment on the importance of pursuing peaceful coexistence and achieving greater stability for all.
Writing in the official guest book at the end of his visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed commented, "I had the pleasure of meeting Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne. Our two countries enjoy a special relationship as friends and partners, and a shared ambition to further strengthen our bonds and explore new opportunities to benefit both nations."
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court; and Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Executive Director of Martyrs' Families' Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
