Sharjah24 – Reuters: Body horror pioneer David Cronenberg premiered his latest sci-fi thriller "Crimes of the Future" at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 23).
For the film, Cronenberg continued his long-time collaboration with actor Viggo Mortensen, who plays Saul Tenser, a performance artist growing new organs inside his body. Lea Seydoux stars as his partner who performs surgery on Tenser for art.

Wearing his trusty goggle glasses, Cronenberg joined Mortensen and Seydoux as they walked the steps of the Palais des Festivals with rest of the cast which includes Kristen Stewart and Don McKellar.

"Crimes of the Future" is one of 21 films competing for the coveted Palme d'Or, the winner of which will be announced on Saturday (May 28).
