Sharjah 24 – SPA: The Royal Court (RC) said in a statement issued that the Moon Sighting Committee of the Supreme Court decided that, Saturday, April 2, 2022 is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Following its session here this evening, the Moon Sighting Committee of the Supreme Court decided that Friday, the 29th of the month of Sha`ban, according to Umm al-Qura calendar, is the last day of Shaaban, the month preceding the holy month of Ramadan, the fasting month for Muslims.
After having reviewed all reports submitted at its meeting, testifying that the moon of Ramadan was eye-sighted at today's sunset, the committee has decided, in accordance with the Hadith (Sayings) of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) in this regard, that tomorrow, Saturday 1/9/1443 H, according to Umm al-Qura calendar, corresponding to 2/4/2022, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 1443 H.
On the occasion, the Supreme Court congratulates the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH the Crown Prince, all citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as all Muslims on this blessed month, praying that Allah Almighty helps Muslims easily fasting and worship, accept from them righteous deeds, reconcile between them, His religion may prevail, and His word be exalted, and that He preserves this country, its security, stability and prosperity.
