Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, honoured the winners of the 5th edition of the Ajman Government Excellence Award, during a ceremony organised by the Ajman Excellence Programme and attended by all government departments in the emirate.

During the event, Sheikh Ammar launched the "Ajman Community Award," which aims to motivate community members to engage in improving public services to highest levels of quality.

Honouring the award’s winners allows them the opportunity to enhance their performance and engage in the process of development, in line with the directives of the UAE’s leadership, he added.

"Our government has taught us that there is no such thing as the impossible. Therefore, the Ajman Government is advancing confidently towards achieving this vision," Sheikh Ammar said, lauding the hard work of government institutions and leading initiatives, programmes and services in line with the best local and international standards.

He also affirmed the need to achieve progress in government work, through launching better and affordable services.

At the end of the event, Sheikh Ammar presented the winners their awards, accompanied by Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council and Supreme Supervisor of the Ajman Excellence Programme, and Dr. Hajar Saeed Al Hubaishi, Executive Director of the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre.

The Ajman Police won the "Best Government Department Award in the Achievement of Strategic Results."

Three authorities won the "Best Government Department Award in Achieving Excellent Organisational Performance," which are the Ajman Police, the Department of Municipality and Planning and the Department of Port and Customs.

The Department of Economic Development won the "Best Government Department Award in Achieving Customer Satisfaction about E-Services."

Four authorities won the "Best Government Department Award in Statistical Maturity Index," which are the Department of Municipality and Planning, the Department of Economic Development, the Department of Port and Customs and the Department of Tourism Development.

The award for the "Best Practice Category in Developing Government Policies whose evaluation score exceeded 85 percent" was awarded to two entities, which are the Department of Municipality and Planning for its policy for organising bachelors’ housing, and the Department of Economic Development for its export development policy.

The Department of Land and Real Estate Regulatory Authority won the award for the "Comprehensive Experience Category for Government Services," achieving the highest score in providing comprehensive government services.
