Sharjah24 – AFP: Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed's Prosperity Party holds its first congress since its establishment in 2019. Party members gather from different parts of the country for the event, where Abiy calls for peace and stability after a year-long war.
Commenting on this, Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopian Prime minister stated, "Peace is more than anything for Ethiopia because we just came out of war. Forces who think they are powerful need to calm down and work towards peace, discussion, rest, and development, and all other options are not beneficial for Ethiopia and Ethiopians. I want to encourage all of us to stand for peace and democracy together."
The Ethiopian Prime minister added, "I hope in this first council meeting, major issues of development, democracy and equality, and the way to peace will find our decision."
