Sharjah 24: The third West Asian Paralympic Games held in the Kingdom of Bahrain concluded, as Iraq ranked first with 31 gold, 14 silver and 7 bronze medals, the UAE came in second with 20 gold, 27 silver and 28 bronze, and Kuwait third, with 16 gold, 11 silver and 7 bronze.

This comes with the wide participation of more than 700 athletes representing 11 countries: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. In addition to distinguished organisation praised by all the guests of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The event included wheelchair basketball, athletics, table tennis, boccia, goal ball, badminton and weightlifting.

Oman came in fourth, Bahrain fifth, Saudi Arabia sixth, Syria seventh, Jordan eighth, Yemen ninth, Qatar is followed by Lebanon.
