Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, attended the graduation ceremony of the 10th, 11th and 12th batches of students of the American University in the Emirates (AUE), held at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Mohammed Saleh bin Badwa Al Darmaki, Supreme President of the University, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol), Inspector-General of the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Muthanna Ghani Abdel Razek, President of AUE, and members of academic and administrative entities, as well as the graduates and their families.

The ceremony began with the playing of the UAE’s National Anthem, followed by a speech by Sheikh Nahyan where he congratulated the graduates and lauded the initiative to hold their graduation at Expo 2020 Dubai.

"I am pleased to be with you today during the graduation ceremony of three batches of students, who are part of the ‘Expo promotion’," Sheikh Nahyan said.

"I salute your initiative to hold the event at Expo 2020 Dubai, which highlights the university’s commitment to always be a prominent model of international cooperation and positive interaction with the world’s cultures. I am confident that the graduates will play a key role in shaping the future of the community and the entire world, promoting the principles of communication, consultation and participation between countries and the values of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity," he added.

"Their presence here confirms the strong ties of their university with the journey of the nation and its achievements and their keenness, on the 50th year, to seek excellence in all their university’s activities," he concluded.
