Sharjah24 - WAM: His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, highlighted the UAE’s prominent stature in global competitiveness indexes in economic and industrial areas, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He made this statement while receiving, in the Al Rumailah Palace, Dr. Fahd bin Mutlaq Al Shurai'an, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Bahrain; Mohammed Bashir Al Manawi, Minister of Minerals of Sudan, and several ministers concerned with the mineral resources sector in Arab and foreign countries.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 16th Arab International Conference on Mineral Resources, held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Fujairah from 22nd to 24th February, 2022.
Sheikh Hamad welcomed the conference’s guests and lauded their role in supporting mining projects, helping achieve the conference’s objectives, and advancing the mineral resources sector globally. He also noted that the emirate of Fujairah aims to strengthen the international mining sector.
The conference’s guests thanked Sheikh Hamad for his welcome and his support for initiatives and projects aimed at achieving positive outcomes and addressing existing and future challenges.
The meeting was also attended by Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Adviser to the Ruler of Fujairah; Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Court of Fujairah; Salem Al Zahmi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah; Adel Saqr Al Sager, Director-General of the Arab International Conference on Mineral Resources; Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Chairman of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation; and Ali Qasim, Director-General of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation.
