Sharjah24 - Reuters: The Chinese mainland on Monday reported 59 new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 79 imported cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Tuesday.
Of the new local cases, 20 were reported in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, 12 in Jiangsu Province, six in Liaoning Province, five each in Sichuan Province and Yunnan Province, four each in Beijing and Hubei Province, and three in Guangdong.
Among the imported cases, 32 were reported in Shanghai, 22 in Guangdong, 10 in Fujian, four in Beijing, three each in Sichuan and Gansu, two each in Zhejiang and Anhui, and one in Yunnan.
In addition, six of the imported cases were re-categorized as confirmed cases from asymptomatic ones, said the commission.
Four new suspected cases were reported on Monday, all imported cases reported from Shanghai. No new deaths were reported on the day.
