Hong Kong reports 6,067 new COVID-19 cases

Sharjah24 – Reuters: Hong Kong reported 6,067 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, according to data from the Center for Health Protection on Sunday.
The newly reported cases consist of 12 imported cases, and 6,055 locally acquired cases, the center said.

Edwin Tsui, controller of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health under the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government, said on Sunday that with the support of the central government, the HKSAR government has successively enhanced the testing capacity of local laboratories, and that the Huoyan (Fire Eye) COVID-19 testing labs have been put into operation.
