Sharjah 24 – WAM: Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended the graduation ceremony of 150 participants from Empowering Future Leaders Initiative, launched in cooperation with the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
At the ceremony, which took place at Expo 2020 Dubai, 50 cadets of the Aqdar Diploma Programme for Community Leaders, 2nd edition, were graduated in cooperation with the University of Sharjah within the initiatives of Khalifa Empowerment Programme (Aqdar).
The programme aims to empower youth and supporting community work to achieve the vision of the UAE's wise leadership.
Sheikh Saif praised the efforts of the graduates and congratulated them for their work and giving which contributes to highlighting the role of Emirati youth in sustainable development and shaping a brighter future.
The ceremony was attended by Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Maj. Gen. Duncan Francis Capps, Commander of the British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Office of HH the Minister of Interior, and Prof. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, President of the University Sharjah, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dabal, CEO of the Khalifa Empowerment Programme, and Dr. Radi Al-Zubaidi, Director of the Institute of Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah, as well as directors of police colleges, institutes and academies in the country, and a number of Ministry of Interior officers.
