"SteelFab 2022" begins at Expo Centre Sharjah

Sharjah 24: The 17th "SteelFab 2022", MENA's largest event of its kind, kicked off Monday in the Emirate of Sharjah. The 4-day event is organized by the Expo Center Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Over 150 local and international exhibitors from 30 countries and 400 brands of the world's leading brands in the field of metalwork and related industries are taking part in the event.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Expo Centre Sharjah inaugurated the exhibition, accompanied by a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Expo Centre, HE Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General, SCCI, HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Center Sharjah, and Sultan Shattaf, Director of Sales and Marketing Department at Expo Center Sharjah.

The attendees toured the exhibition and the pavilions and stands of the participating entities, where they were briefed on the products, equipment, and machinery for the steel and metal industry.

They also learned about the most prominent technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in the steel sector, and modern equipment in the field of metal forming.

"The broad participation of local and international companies in 'SteelFab 2022' clearly reflects the vital role and the outstanding regional position played by the Emirate of Sharjah, as a prominent destination on the map of the global exhibition industry," said Abdullah Sultan Al Owais. "The industrial sector is one of the key drivers supporting economic development in Sharjah, as it plays a pivotal role in enhancing the emirate’s domestic product, especially since Sharjah is home to 35% of manufacturing facilities in the UAE."

"The increasing number of the exhibiting companies in this year's edition signals the strong start of the event since day one. It also mirrors its growing importance locally and internationally as a leading platform for discovering huge and promising investment opportunities in this vital sector in Sharjah," said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa.

He added: "What distinguishes this year's edition is that it is held simultaneously with the 6th Fasteners World Middle East, a full-fledged vertical show for the entire fasteners and fixing industry."

The event also highlights the latest international technologies, including a display of the most prominent machines, equipment, and machinery for the steel industry, and CNC cutting systems.

Major British industrial companies are taking part in this event through the UK pavilion, in addition to the participation of leading countries in the steel industry, including Germany, Italy, India, and Turkey, besides a remarkable presence of Emirati and local companies.

"SteelFab 2022" is supported by international associations and leading companies such as UCIMU Sistemi Per Produrre (Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, Automation Systems and Ancillary Products), UAE Contractors Association, Ventures Middle East (VME), and Construction Week Online (ITP).

Furthermore, SteelLFab Machinery Technology Equipment Conference will be organized on the second and third days of the exhibition. The conference includes specialized technical seminars in the presence of an elite group of major manufacturers worldwide will take part.

The pavilion of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority is seeing a large turnout from investors and businessmen working in this field to learn about the investment advantages offered by the Authority and the facilities it provides to companies specializing in the iron and steel sector and related industry.

"SteelFab 2022" opens its doors daily to visitors from 10 am to 7 pm.
