Sharjah24 – AFP: Climbers brave freezing temperatures to take part in an ice climbing festival held in Sandstone, Minnesota. "Dealing with the cold is definitely a big part of ice climbing," one of the participants said. For another climber, it's all about the views: "That's why I like it, and it's quiet and you are in places where mostly you couldn't normally be."
Susan Hill, ice climber said, "It's freezing. It's so cold. I think it's about, maybe like zero or two degrees right now, Fahrenheit.”
Commenting on this also, Ethan Baker, ice climber stated, "Dealing with the cold is definitely a big part of ice climbing. But through trial and error, you can learn different tricks to stay warm and what clothing you need to wear and what not. And once you do it for a while, it starts to get pretty comfortable, you know how to deal with the cold."
