Russian News Agency (TASS) quoted the Aide of the Russian President Yuri Ushakov as saying, "Presidents Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping agreed during a virtual summit on establishing a financial system to serve commercial transactions between the two nations that will not be affected by the pressures of third countries".
"The two leaders are working on increasing the volume of trade transactions in national currencies .. they are discussing this matter and this is what is actually happening," he noted.
This agreement comes after trade exchange between the two countries reached a new record, which they intends to increase to USD 200 billion, Ushakov explained.
In 2021, the trade exchange between Russia and China reached USD 123 billion.
