Sharjah24 – Reuters: Actor Vanessa Hudgens says making 'The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star', the third installment in the Netflix holiday series was fun, as the cast and crew ''felt like family''.
Directed by Mike Rohl the first of the romantic comedies about identical people who switch lives - 'The Princess Switch' - came out in 2018. That movie saw Hudgens play Queen Margaret and Princess Stacy. By the second movie she also assumed the identity of Fiona - a character that's back in the latest film too.

''When a priceless relic is stolen, Queen Margaret and Princess Stacy enlist the help of Margaret's audacious look-alike cousin Fiona who teams with a dashing, mysterious man from her past to retrieve it... rekindling the sparks of a tantalizing Christmas romance and resulting in a very unexpected switch,'' the plot line on Netflix's press site reads.

''For me, the thing that makes it really special is Fiona's story. Her journey, in the last movie, she's seen as a bit of a villain, but it's really beautiful because we get to explore why she is the way that she is, and you realize that she's got a tough past and and she's had to put up walls to protect her heart,'' Hudgens said.

Adding: 'I hope that after watching it, people will have more empathy for those they don't understand.''

Hudgens stars alongside Sam Palladio, Nick Sagar and John Jack in the movie, which was available from November 18 on Netflix.
