Sharjah 24: Gareth Southgate agreed to sign a 2-year extension to the original contract as England manager.

The Football Association (FA) stated that Southgate managed to lead England to the World Cup semi-finals (2018), and the Euro Cup finals 2021, the national team’s first time at a major tournament since 1966.

Southgate's original contract with the FA ends in July 2022, but his success in leading the "Three Lions" to the Qatar World Cup 2022, hastened the extension of his contract.
