Sharjah 24 – KUNA: The Arab League on Sunday announced its support to the democratic transition process in Sudan and stressed the importance of dialogue as a main method to deal with crises that may arise during moving to democracy.
After meeting Sudan's top general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Arab League Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki, who is leading the league's delegation to Khartoum, said that they delivered a message from the bloc's chief that affirms backing to this process.

The League is closely following up the democratic transition process to reach safety, Zaki stressed in a press statement.

Al-Burhan, meanwhile, renewed full commitment to the democratic transition, and keenness on preserving Sudanese revolution gains and meeting aspirations of people, according to the statement.

He lauded the league's key role in backing and achieving the transitional period as well as paying attention to Sudan's issues.

Saturday evening, the League's delegation headed by Zaki arrived in Sudan to bring closer together the views and reach a solution to the country's ongoing crisis.
