Sharjah 24: The Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdulaziz Mohammed Shattaf, revealed Monday that the Chamber received a delegation from the Republic of India.
The delegation is participating in the "Emirati-Indian Business Forum" activities and will discuss business investment opportunities in the UAE.
He told “Sharjah 24” that the purpose of this forum and such meetings are to enhance bilateral trade between the UAE and the Republic of India, and to accomplish the government's target of $100 billion in trade between the two nations in the next three years.
Shattaf added that a number of Indian companies are operating in the country, with investments totaling AED 98 billion, and that the government is attempting to expand these investments by 15% over the next five years, in areas such as construction, industries, and foodstuff.
