Sharjah24 – Reuters: Britain's Queen Elizabeth met with representatives from the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery (RCA) at Windsor Castle, on Wednesday (October 6).
Visiting the 1st Regiment of the RCA, known as the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1 RCHA) on guard at the castle, the Queen - as the Canadian monarch and the Captain-General of the unit - presented 'The Captain General's Sword' to the soldiers.
The sword is to be awarded annually to an officer from each RCA's regular and reserve forces.
The visit commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the foundation of A and B Batteries of the RCA, the first post-Confederation forces of the Canadian army.
