Sharjah24: Sharjah 24 had the opportunity to meet and speak with Francisca Elizabeth Méndez Escobar, the Mexican Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, in the Mexican Pavilion at the Expo Dubai 2020.
The Mexican Ambassador spoke to "Sharjah 24" about what the Mexican Pavilion will offer over the next six months, noting that the pavilion will offer a comprehensive cultural program that caters to all aspects of art and cultural expression in Mexico.
The eclectic program includes singing, folkloric dance, and demonstrations by artists and crafters.
She explained that Mexican cultural and commercial activities will not be limited to the Mexican pavilion during the "Expo" period, but that Mexico will establish many platforms around Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. She urged the public to follow the Mexican pavilion's official social media platforms to attend the various events.
She also stated that Mexico is interested in enhancing bilateral ties with the United Arab Emirates and is pursuing a worldwide presence through Expo 2020 Dubai in order to improve economic and political ties and capitalize on the tremendous potential presented by this unique event.
