Sharjah24 – Reuters: Crowds lined the banks of the River Stour in Canterbury, England on Sunday (September 19) to watch the annual plastic duck race.
The event, held by the local Rotary Club to raise funds for local and international causes, saw 4,000 yellow plastic ducks floated in the river.
The "race" took place on a stretch of the river between Toddler's Cove park and Westgate Gardens Bridge, with each duck sponsored for £1 ($1.37).
The sponsor of the winning duck won a cash prize of £250 ($343), with other cash and gift voucber prizes for the runners up.
