Sharjah24 – Reuters: Director Denis Villeneuve premiered his adaptation of Frank Herbert's 1965 epic science fiction novel "Dune" at Venice Film Festival on Friday (September 3).
Villeneuve joined the star-studded cast, including Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson and Josh Brolin, on the red carpet at the Palazzo del Cinema to debut the film.
"Dune" is set in the future where noble families rule planetary fiefs. Chalamet plays lead character Paul Atreides, whose father Duke Leto Atreides (Isaac) takes on the stewardship of the remote planet Arrakis.
Earlier in the day, Chalamet delighted screaming fans by signing autographs and posing for pictures as he arrived for the film's press conference.
"Dune" will be released in cinemas and the HBO Max streaming service in October.
