Sharjah24 – AFP: Bolivians arriving for their scheduled second doses of the Sputnik V vaccine are turned away from Covid-19 vaccination centres due to shortages of the Russian jab in the South American country.
Commenting on this, Justina, waiting to receive Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine said, "They are telling us we have to wait. But, what are we going to do? The government has said nothing, nothing, and we older people are exposed to everything. I don't know what we can do for older people."
Rosa Alarcon, waiting to receive Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine also added, "I'd like them to tell us if we can get vaccinated with another type of vaccine, because there are options. Elsewhere, there are vaccines: for example, there's the Johnson and Johnson, but we don't know if it's compatible (with the Sputnik V) or not. We don't know."
German Alarcon, waiting to receive Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine has also commented, "We come every time to ask and it is the same answer: 'It's for the government to say.' But what is the government going to say when it knows nothing? Perhaps the Ministry of Health does, but it isn't reporting anything either that reassures us. They should just tell us to come, for example, at the end of August. Then great, we'll come at the end of August. However, we don't know anything."
