Sharjah 24: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has organised the third electronic exhibition to support national sectors, entrepreneurs and owners of “Eitimad” domestic licenses. The exhibition aims to enhance the role of the Department in the field of E-marketing and to provide an incubating and stimulating investment environment for them.
The organisation of the exhibition comes as a part of a series of electronic exhibitions that are held to open new opportunities to people. Also, they come in line with the new changes and challenges faced in the environment and help to revitalise exhibition organising sector. It also comes within SEDD’s strategic objectives to contribute to planning and leading the comprehensive economic development in the emirate of Sharjah.
Commenting on that, Ahmed bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department at SEDD, confirmed that supporting the national sector and commercial projects for entrepreneurs and the domestic sector comes within the Department’s strategic plans, which are based on economic development and the development of sectors and procedures to highlight and support them. Likely, he pointed out that organising this exhibition is a pioneering step to activate the contribution of this sector to the economic return of the Emirate. It also helps to provide opportunities for small and medium business owners from among the citizens to display their products to raise the commercial level of their activities, and encourage local investment to reach the prospects of success and sustainability thus to improve Sharjah’s economy.
Furthermore, Al Suwaidi added that SEDD continues to focus on the sectors of national projects and entrepreneurship in the Emirate of Sharjah in accordance with the strategic objectives set. In addition, he stressed that the Department is working to empower male and female citizens who own projects and SMEs, to achieve success in national entrepreneurship in the country in all economic sectors. Likewise, he clarified that the main purpose of holding this exhibition and other marketing exhibitions is to promote their products and services, help in marketing them, encourage them to continue and achieve sustainability for their projects and introduce them to the public.
Moreover, he explained that despite the current circumstances that affected the organisation of this kind of annual exhibitions at the global level, which includes a large number of attendees in one place, SEDD emphasises continuing to create communication between exhibitors and the public through virtual meetings.
