SEWA replaces the old water networks in Al Yarmouk area

Sharjah24: The Khorfakkan Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has revealed the start of the implementation of a project to replace the old water networks in Khorfakkan with the aim of raising the efficiency of the networks through the use of better materials that preserve the quality of water and the environment, as it has completed a project to replace the water network in Al Yarmouk area.
Eng. Ahmed Al-Mulla, Director of Khorfakkan Department, explained that a study was carried out on the old water networks to determine the priority of switching networks in the areas of Khorfakkan city, and Al Yarmouk network was chosen to start implementing the network replacement project, given that it is one of the oldest existing networks that were installed 35 years ago, and the complaint was repeated And reports from the people of the region about water leakage in the main and subsidiary networks.

He stressed that Khorfakkan administration continues its efforts to strengthen water transmission and distribution networks in all regions, by relying on the latest technology and on the specialised national cadres.
 
He pointed out that the first phase of modernizing the networks in Al Yarmouk area was completed within 9 months, and pipes for this phase were purchased at a price of 1.150 million dirhams, and after the project was completed, the networks were followed up and a study was prepared that confirmed the improvement of water quality.
