Sharjah 24 – KUNA: A total of 2,963 people were diagnosed as sick with the novel coronavirus over the past hours, raising the tally of those contaminated with COVID-19 to 474,925, the Lebanese Ministry of Health declared on Friday.
The ministry said in its daily pandemic report that there were 60 deaths during the past hours, with the death toll amounting to 6,346 since outbreak of the pandemic at the local level.

Total of the recovered cases amounted to 377,136. Meanwhile, medics conducted 21,489 swab tests over past 24 hours.

The local health department is administering vaccines at medical centers in most regions, covering first medics and the elderly.

The Supreme Defense Council has declared extending the state of full mobilization against the virus until late September.

Lebanon is executing a phased strategy against the pathogen, including gradual easing of lockdowns. The fourth and last phase, lasting for two weeks, kicked off on March 22.
