Sharjah 24 – BNA: The Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative to UN - Geneva, Dr. Yusuf AbdulKarim Bucheeri, made a statement on behalf of the GCC countries on the occasion of the informal meeting of the working group on Sudan's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), on Wednesday, March 17.
In their joint statement, the GCC countries expressed their thanks to the working group on Sudan’s accession to the World Trade Organisation and to the membership division of the organisation for its continued support for Sudan’s accession to the organisation.

They also welcomed the positive steps taken by the Government of Sudan to join the World Trade Organisation, praising Sudan’s implementation of its international obligations in this context, which expresses its government's support for positive transformations towards openness and active participation in the international economic system for greater prosperity. 

The statement concluded by supporting Sudan's accession to the organization and calling for accelerating the process of it, wishing Sudan further progress and prosperity.
