Sharjah 24 – KUNA: At least two people were killed and 28 others injured in two different explosions targeting rallies in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province on Friday.
A senior official of the administration, Quetta Deputy Commissioner Major Aurangzeb Badini told media that a blast in Balochistan's capital city Quetta was targeted at a Kashmir Solidarity Day rally that was passing from the area.
The explosion took place near the DC office on Inscomb Road, he said, noting that the nature of the blast couldn't be ascertained as yet.
A senior police official, Sibi Station House Officer Wazir Khan Marri said unknown attackers on a motorcycle lobbed a hand grenade at Luni Chowk, which resulted in injuries to 24 people.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The attacks came on the day when Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed on Friday to express whole-hearted support of Pakistani nation for resolution of Kashmir issue.
