FOAP organises 1st Virtual Rheumatologists Forum

The aim behind holding the forum is to find out more about the latest academic and therapeutic updates in arthritis and to put forward solutions to the disease confrontation and how to prevent it. The event is part of the activities organised by FOAP until 30 October on the sidelines of World Arthritis Day. Present at the forum were His Excellency Waheeda Abdul Aziz, Head of FOAP, Dr. Hanan Al Rayes, President of the Saudi Society for Rheumatology, and a number of members, volunteers of the Society. The forum attracted broad participation of community members to learn more about the latest academic research in arthritis drugs, as well as the latest developments on rheumatoid diseases, lupus erythematosus, and children's rheumatism. “It’s part of our endeavors at FOAP to enhance the healthcare and therapeutic services and help provide health services to arthritis patients, as well as to help them have easy access to innovative solutions for their recovery in accordance with the best international standards,” Waheeda Abdul Aziz commented on the organisation of the forum, “Such gathering clearly reflects FOAP’s keenness to garner academic support and create a scientific platform for doctors and consultants to share their expertise and experiences about the recent arthritis-related health and therapeutic developments.” “By holding such events, we would like to make community members aware of causes of arthritis and ways of preventing and treating it and to shed light on the recent academic and scientific research about children's rheumatism,” she noted. Commending FOAP’s efforts in organizing this important forum, Dr. Hanan Al Rayes pointed to the significance of the event in keeping abreast of recent developments in arthritis, explaining that rheumatology and autoimmune diseases have remarkably advanced in recent years, especially when it comes to diagnosis and treatment methods.
