Sharjah 24: 400 rovers from Al Qasimia University Scouts camps participated in the world’s largest digital Scout event taking place online and over the air, the World Scout Jamboree (JOTA-JOTI) 2020, whereas AQU rovers are keen to join the world event on an annual basis.
Through video communication, fourteen rovers, using the online video app Zoom, joined the World Scout Jambori under the patronage and attended by Dr. Salem Abdulrahman Al Darmaki, Chairman of Emirates Scout Association, and attended by Dr. Abdullah Al Musharekh chair of the United Arab Emirates Scout Pioneers committee and khalid Mohamed Al Marzouk board member of the Emirates Amateur Radio Society.

AQU scout made a remarkable presence among the participating scouts, during the World Scout Jamboree event held for four consecutive days, with the participation of more than 200 participations on the local, Arab and global level.
AQU scout participation reflected the University keenness to build students’ scout capacity by joining this annual event allowing them to benefit from the different workshops held in such context.
The student’s activity represents an integral part of the AQU student development scheme, hence, the University and in implementation of the directives of Dr. Rashad Salem, Vice Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, is keen to encourage students to participate in all important events.
