Sharjah24 – WAM: The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MOHAP, has launched 'SBAR', a new app designed and developed to help foster and utilise innovation in the nursing profession, including the strengthening of communication ties among healthcare specialists and the automation of electronic processes.
The launch of the new app demonstrates the ministry's commitment to surpass customer expectations and to establish a smart and efficient health care system. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Support Services at MOHAP, expressed the ministry's keenness in fully utilising the capabilities of 'Wareed', which aims to seamlessly link all clinical, operational and administrative data within a unified system. Looking to complement Wareed’s interoperability further, MOHAP has also launched a ‘Smart Electronic Patient Portal,’ which is a new website designed in several languages to allow individuals key access to their health files and communicate directly with the ministry's healthcare providers. Mubaraka Ibrahim, Director of Health Information Systems Department at MOHAP, explained that the SBAR app minimises the risk of human error usually caused by manual operations and promotes the use of electronic and paperless documentation and processing. The SBAR app reduces the time and the use of fewer resources by eliminating manual notes for process-related tasks upon the admission of patients, reducing the risk of error. The app will also enable emergency room nurses to dedicate more time to patient care.
