Sharjah 24 – AFP: Thousands of protesters, many on bicycles, gather in the southern German city of Frankfurt to protest outside the city's motor show, part of a new wave of environmental activism.
Christoph Bautz, Campact group director said, "The International Motor Show represents the last century, gas-guzzling cars and SUVs. Today, thousands are on the streets saying that it takes a transport revolution to make our cities liveable again and to finally make progress in climate protection. We want the future to belong to buses, trains and bicycles -- we no longer want big SUVs and cars that consume a lot of fuel!"

Christoph Bautz, Campact group director has also pointed out "We are a public movement, the students are on the streets, many people come from cities and the countryside, by bike, to demand the end of this policy for lobbies, for the big energy and automotive groups. We want climate protection and a transport revolution to be launched."
