ECDMT in Sharjah announces new guidelines for travellers

Sharjah24: The local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team (ECDMT) in Sharjah updated procedures for passengers arriving through the port of Sharjah International Airport, announcing that travellers must present negative Covid-19 results prior to boarding within a period not exceeding 72 hours from the date of travel, which was previously valid for 96 hours earlier, before arriving at the emirate’s ports. The implementation of the decision begins five days after its publication.

The updated procedures reflects the emirate's keenness to preserve the safety of community members in accordance with health procedures and requirements that ensure curbing the spread of the virus.

The guidelines issued by the local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team (ECDMT) in Sharjah include conducting Covid-19 PCR test for departures before traveling within 72 hours of the date of travel to the destinations that require this, adhering to the preventive measures followed in the countries of destination with the necessity of having health insurance when traveling abroad.
