As sons and daughters, I would like to add to what you have learned that morals are the basis for advancement of nations. They are the pillars which hold glories of people without which nations are worthless.

A scientist was asked how do you evaluate a human ? Then he said: “If he is armed with moral concepts, give him one, and if he has wealth, put zero next to one to become ten, and if he is worthy and prestigious, give a zero to become 100, and if he has lineage, give him zero to become 1000, but if we take the morals, and grab the one, and after taking the one, only zeros remain without value.

With this advice, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, commenced his speech at the Alumni Association Ceremony, American University of Sharjah (AUS), 2020.

As a father, educator and teacher ,His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, on a significant occasion that brings together the family of the American University of Sharjah annually, gave a message and advice to assist them in their life.

The precious advice after all these years at the university was what they were waiting for from the father, His Highness, Ruler of Sharjah, and the President of the University, which provided them with the finest types of education, and expected them to have major roles in advancing society and contributing to its development.

With this precious advice, on that significant occasion, which the university's sons and daughters are keen to attend, His Highness defined morals and explained them in a deeper and more comprehensive approach.

His Highness reiterated that morals are the cornerstone for all success as they establish balance and stability in people’s lives because with morals people can achieve what they aspire for in all walks of life. 
 
His Highness proved that morals are the basis for all characteristics that people seek, which they establish their lives and give them the position that they seek in all social aspects, and without morals, all of this goes to nothing, to zero, and the person becomes worthless.

Sharjah Ruler confirmed that morals must always be preserved in all steps of life, so that a person can enjoy true status and satisfaction, in order to achieve what he aspires for .
