Sharjah 24: 'Youth Discovery' Committee at the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) discussed ways of cooperating with federations, clubs, and sports associations.

The meeting also touched on the road map during the coming period of the general development plan, in addition to discussing the updates of the Olympic Games during the next four years and addressing and reviewing a number of recommendations and reports.

This came on the sidelines of the committee’s seventh meeting, which was held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the meeting hall of Sharjah Youth, headed by Her Excellency Fatima Mohammed Musharbak, a member of the Board of Directors, and the members. 

Her Excellency Fatima Mohammed Musharbak reviewed the strategy of SSC and emphasised the importance of the committee and its tasks. In addition to reviewing accomplishments during the past period and the work plan during the coming period.

Her Excellency also spoke on updating the list of cooperation between Sharjah Youth, federations, clubs and sports associations according to the new data.

The meeting discussed the importance of updating the Olympic Games during the next four years and starting work on an initial plan for the golf, basketball and handball games, and to communicate with Sharjah Children and those interested in games to develop a complementary plan to nurture talents in Sharjah.

The meeting addressed a mechanism to support young people who are affiliated with the "distinguished athletes" of the various clubs, provided that this is updated by preparing the initial list of distinguished performers and communicating with their parents for obtaining approval to join the club. In addition to raising the approved list for each club, and to ensure that any player benefits from the development opportunities available in Sharjah Youth centres, and cooperating with clubs by requesting a list of players "under 18 years old" and following up on their registration in Sharjah Youth centres.

The meeting presented the clubs visits schedule for the individual games committee of SSC, with the aim of involving members of the 'Youth Discovery' Committee with these visits to take advantage of the opportunities available to Sharjah Youth centres.
