The Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, emphasized the festival management's commitment to presenting meaningful events including photography and motion pictures.
In a statement to Sharjah 24, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau mentioned that the festival, in its eighth edition, witnessed the launch of the Xposure International Film Awards, which included over 550 submissions in its first year.
This came on the sidelines of the ceremony honoring the winners of the film awards, which took place on Monday at the main stage of the Sharjah Expo Center, in the presence of a number of photographers and artists from various countries around the world.
He further added that the film awards encompass four categories: short films, animated films, feature films, and documentary films. He noted the participation of a large number of exceptional films from various parts of the world.
The Director General of SGMB highlighted that the integration of photographic and motion picture content in the festival aims to achieve its mission of upholding credibility and elevating cultural, and artistic values.
