Al Mualla honours winners of 2nd edu. research competition

Sharjah 24: At its headquarters in the Al Tala'a area, the Sharjah Parents Council held a ceremony to honour the winners of the 2nd Educational Research Competition, which aims to encourage the research movement among the parties of Sharjah's educational sector in conjunction with the country's celebrations of its 51st National Day.
In his statement during the event, the Chairman of the Council, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Mualla, noted that 37 research papers on education had been submitted by different participants from public and private schools in the Emirates of Sharjah, of which 9 were selected as winners.

Awardee Ms. Maryam Al-Loughani, who came in second place in the category for educational organisations, spoke on behalf of the awardees to highlight the significance of the competition in fostering a culture of research in the emirate. She expressed gratitude to the Sharjah Parents Council on behalf of all the winners.

The council's head of research and studies, Jasser Al-Mahashi, stated that there is an immediate need to educate the school's many stakeholders (including students, parents, and educational bodies) on how to undertake educational field research. He suggested that schools all over the country teach intensive courses on how to do research in education.
