Sharjah24: Sharjah Police, represented by the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), launched a campaign to inspect scrap shops at the emirate, with the aim highlight violations and promote safety and protection procedures.
The campaign is held in coordination with Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), Sharjah Civil Defence, and Electronic Services and Communication Department at Sharjah Police.

Brigadier General Ibrahim Musabeh Al-Ajil, Director of DCI, stressed that the department has held several meetings with the concerned parties in the emirate to set the plans and visions of the campaign, leading to forming a joint inspection team visiting the shops in the emirate.

He added that 400 shops have been inspected in the industrial areas of the emirate during the first month of the campaign.

Al-Ajil explained that the inspection teams audited the purchase and sales manifests, highlighted the security and economical violations, and inspected surveillance cameras in these shops.

He concluded calling the community members to cooperate with the police in order to achieve the safety and security of the community, and to report any violations or negative behaviours to 80040, or 901 for non-urgent cases.
