Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has completed distributing sacrificial meat to 65,000 of its beneficiaries, in a sacrifice campaign that is considered the largest in the history of the SCI within the UAE.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, SCI’s executive director, expressed his great pleasure at the success of the campaign in achieving the pre-determined target of 2500 sacrifices, and exceeded to 65,000, with an unprecedented increase of 160%, thus reflecting the size of confidence that the SCI has among its donors.

He stressed that the expansion of the base of beneficiaries even served many families who were affected by the poor living conditions brought about by the Coronavirus crisis. These families come down from several areas including Al Madam, Al Batayeh, Al Dhaid, Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Dibba Al Hisn.

Bin Khadem added that all necessary precautionary and preventive measures had been taken into account in the butchering and delivering of the sacrificial meat, thanking the competent authorities in the Central Abattoirs for their efforts, and the Sharjah Police for its role in organising the traffic during distribution.
