Sharjah 24: Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), confirmed that the Authority has completed its extensive preparations to receive the return flights of UAE residents while continuing to take all measures and precautions that guarantee the health and safety of travelers, customers and employees in accordance with international standards.
Al Midfa said that the Authority has made all the necessary preparations in coordination with all partners, operating authorities at the airport and airlines, adding that a set of organisational and operational measures have been taken to ensure the smoothness of movement so that procedures can be easily completed while ensuring compliance with sanitary measures.

He continued that the decision to start the return trips of residents stranded abroad is positive and heralds subsequent steps to fully open skies and return of the travel and air traffic to its previous nature.

The authority succeeded in holding a group of meetings, and through several specialised committees, to follow up the procedures that National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has required to be applied at the country's airports.

The Sharjah Airport Authority continues to abide by a set of daily procedures, including the implementation of continuous sterilisation plans in all airport facilities, in addition to aircraft, freight planes, and all corridors leading to and from the airport.
