This came during a meeting headed by Thabet Al Tarifi, Director General of the Sharjah Municipality and attended by heads of departments in the municipality.

During the remotely held meeting, al Tarifi lauded the achievements of the municipality during the current “remote work” environment, utilising the digital infrastructure of the municipality and its “Sabeq” digital transformation programme.

Underscoring the SM’s major role and continuous efforts to reduce the spread of the virus, he has also added that the Municipality is keen to take all the necessary health standards and preventive measures, aiming to ensure the progress of work in a safe environment.

Al Tarifi also stressed the agility of the municipality in adapting to the changing work requirements during the previous period, which can only help preparing for the future.

The meeting parties also discussed the proactive plan laid by the municipality to prepare its offices to welcome back the employees on several stages, such as installing innovative sterilization gates, thermal detection cameras, and glass partitions at client desks.
